Introduction of the Wealth Management product portfolio

A new product portfolio has been introduced for a leading global bank in the wealth management sector. For this purpose, various systems in the areas of risk management, product master data and reporting had to be adapted. For this purpose, a program was started that included various IT departments at the Zurich and Basel locations.
I took over the management of the program that was already running and continued it successfully.

Head of the energy exchange test department

The organization of the test team outsourced to the Czech Republic and responsible for the trading platform of the European Energy Exchange should be improved. In particular, test execution should be faster and quality increased.
I took over the management of the test department, analyzed the situation and made suggestions for improvement. The suggestions were accepted by the client and then implemented by me. I then helped fill the position of department head.

Integration test bank merger

As part of a merger, systems and processes at two banks had to be analyzed, adapted and integrated. A large program that included multiple projects and 1,000+ employees. The system integration test for all of these projects and their adjustments was designed as a separate project.
Within this project, I was responsible for the investment banking area as test manager.

Adaptation of the consumer loans system as part of a bank merger

A long-standing daughter company of the bank was to be fully integrated while dissolving the brand; a large-scale program that included dozens of projects and 1,000+ internal and external employees. One of these projects concerned the adaptation of consumer loans systems.
I was tasked with taking over the management of the team of around 40 people and getting the ongoing troubled project on the road to success. I had overall responsibility for budget, time and content.

Scaling the securities settlement and custody system

In order to support the customer's strong growth plans, their mainframe system should be adjusted in many areas for scalability reasons. In advance of the project, IBM carried out a study that identified the affected areas.
I have planned and successfully managed this IBM project with around 25 employees.

A document management system (DMS), which was used by 4,000 bank employees for customer correspondence, had to be expanded due to a variety of new technical requirements.
I have planned and successfully coordinated the project with a team of 4 employees.

Migration of a portal for online trading in securities

The customer wanted to bring the Internet portals for online trading in securities across all European branches onto a uniform technical platform. The conversion of the branch in Great Britain was the first step in this regard.
My task was to determine a testing procedure that included integration tests, user acceptance tests (UAT), performance and continuity tests (failover). I introduced this procedure, including the necessary tools, and successfully coordinated the execution of the tests with a team of a total of 15 testers.
